Hawaii Academy for Sports Dentistry

Hawaii Academy for Sports Dentistry (HASD) is an organization of Hawaii
dental professionals interested in the treatment and prevention of dental injuries as they
occur in sports participation. It is our belief that prevention of oral injuries in sports
participants is as important as good oral hygiene for prevention of caries and gum
disease. Why maintain teeth and gums in good health only to injure or lose |
| them from a sports injury? We also believe that dentists and
the general public do not know enough about sports injury prevention and that we should
